Product/Partner Engineering – QAJob DescriptionAs a UI QA Engineer, you will be part of a world-class engineering team. You will help improve the quality, performance, and resiliency of the Rancher Manager Kubernetes platform. You will develop comprehensive test suites and strive for full automation coverage of key product features. You will push the envelope of the technology on multiple fronts. You must be knowledgeable and passionate about quality and UI automation. You must be well versed in programming languages like Javascript, Typescript, Python or Go. Experience with DevOps practices and continuous integration environments will be helpful. You must be a quick learner and can get up to speed with the latest Kubernetes container technologies.Focus AreasDesigns quality assurance and test processes for portions and subsystems of end-user applicationAnalyze design and create UI test scripts, code, automation, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.Writes and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portions of the application; identifies and debugs, and creates solutions for issues with code and integration into software architecture.Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding test status, project progress, and issue resolution.Represents the software quality assurance team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.Participate in daily stand-ups and work in an agile development environment.Preferred Experience & SkillsTypically 4-6 years experience.Knowledge of software testing methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.Fluency in languages like Javascript, Typescript, Python or GoExperience in DevOps process and CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins, Drone, Bamboo, etc.Comfortable in working within a Linux environmentExperience in building maintainable and well tested codePersonal AttributesOutstanding debugging, problem solving, and root cause analysis skillsPassionate about quality and well documented code and processAbility to work cross functionally with all levels of engineersJob EngineeringWhat We OfferWe empower you to be bold, driving your career to create the future you want.
